Summary

The Terms of Reference (ToR) is a formal document that outlines the purpose, scope, objectives, and structure of the SAFER programme, and is the governance document that details the roles and responsibilities of programme board members. 

The SAFER programme board: 

  • provides strategic direction, and decision-making for the delivery of the SAFER programme, which focuses on food law delivery reform
  • ensures alignment with Food Standards Scotland’s (FSS) objectives and wider Scottish Government (SG) strategies on public service reform
  • ensures effective collaboration across stakeholders
