Animal welfare incidents for slaughterhouses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (FSA/DAERA) and Scotland (FSS) between 1st January 2017 and the present date 18th November 2020:
Please could you provide a full listing of animal welfare related incidents recorded for the specified period, including:
- date
- country
- geographic location (e.g. county)
- species (at least red meat vs. poultry)
- process involved (stunning, slaughter, handling/lairage, general requirements, equipment, etc.)
- category/description of failure (e.g. ineffective stunning, failure to sever carotid arteries, operative hit or kicked animal…etc.)
- severity rank (level 4 (critical non-compliance), level 3 (serious non-compliance), level 2 (minor non-compliance), etc.)
- action taken (e.g. written advice, verbal advice, welfare enforcement notice, CCTV enforcement notice, referred for investigation, etc.)
- an anonymised establishment reference, to identify multiple incidents occurring at a single establishment
