Summary
The Food Crime Strategic Assessment 2024 is a collaborative assessment, that outlines the threat to the UK from food crime, between the Scottish Food Crime and Incidents Unit (SFCIU) and FSA’s National Food Crime Unit (NFCU). The assessment provides an overview of current and long-term issues impacting the UK supply chain, supports with strategic resource allocation, and outlines prevention, intelligence and enforcement priorities in tackling food crime. It also supports with setting the SFCIU Food Crime Control Strategy which outlines the key priorities the Unit will focus on as part of tackling and preventing food crime.
