PPDS business toolkit

A toolkit for partners to share information about pre-packed for direct sale legislation which was introduced to Scotland in 2021.

In 2021, new legislation which requires food businesses in Scotland to include the product name and full ingredients list, on food sold prepacked for dirst sale (PPDS) came into force in Scotland and the rest of the UK. To support businesses with meeting consumer and legislative expectations, Food Standards Scotland has adapted its MenuCal tool with functionality to manage, store and track the information required for allergen labels for food sold prepacked for direct sale.

We would like organisations and stakeholders to share our information so we can support even more food businesses throughout Scotland, and we’ve developed a toolkit which includes ways in which you can support.
