It is clear that obesity is one of the most serious problems we face in Scotland and in-store promotions of food and drink high in fat, salt and sugar is a contributing factor.

Food Standards Scotland (FSS) is Scotland’s national food industry regulator and works across the food chain with food businesses and industry to ensure that food is safe to eat and meets regulatory standards.

Food Standards Scotland has today (30 August 2017) published the updated list of products withdrawn from the market because of the amount of egg they contain from farms implicated in the Fipronil investigation.

Food Standards Scotland continues to work closely with the Food Standards Agency and industry to trace products containing eggs from farms in the Netherlands implicated in the Fipronil investigation.
