Managing the microbiological safety of artisan cheeses made from unpasteurised milk
A report prepared for Food Standards Scotland by Dr Catherine Donnelly, an expert in dairy microbiology, has been published today (12 December 2018). The report outlines the scientific evidence on food safety controls which can be used to reduce the risks of food poisoning bacteria in the production of raw milk cheeses.

Food Standards Scotland and the Food Standards Agency Report Provides Important New Evidence on E. coli O157 in Cattle
Today (26 November 2018), Food Standards Scotland and the Food Standards Agency have published the report of a four year research project which provides important new evidence on E. coli O157 - a bacterium carried by cattle which can cause serious illness when it enters the food chain.
