The next Board meeting will be held at our Food Standards Scotland offices in Aberdeen, Pilgrim House, Old Ford Road, Aberdeen, AB11 5RL on 15th May 2019.

Food allergies are becoming increasingly common, and recent consumer research commissioned by Food Standards Scotland shows that 15% of people surveyed either have a food allergy themselves or have someone in their household with a food allergy*.

The nine largest UK food retailers have published their latest Campylobacter results on contamination in UK-produced fresh whole chickens.

The next Board meeting will be held at our Food Standards Scotland offices in Aberdeen, Pilgrim House, Old Ford Road, Aberdeen, AB11 5RL on 20th March 2019. The meeting will begin at 10.30 am and run until approximately 12 pm.

When food placed on the market is considered to be unsafe or incorrectly labelled, it is the food business’s responsibility to withdraw or recall the product. Our new UK guidance, developed in partnership with stakeholders and the FSA, has been designed to help food businesses carry out food safety withdrawals and recalls more effectively.
