Summary

Food Standards Scotland has today published a summary of incidents, food product recalls and allergy alerts between April and June 2019.

Over this three month period, 23 incidents were reported and 39 food notices were issued including 21 related to allergens. This publication details the categories of incidents recorded and provides an explanation of food notices issued including the level of risk to consumers and what action we, industry and/or local authorities took.

Local authority and key partner contributions have been vital in delivering effective management of these incidents and FSS would like to place on record our thanks for their ongoing support.
