Freshers prize draw September 2020

By submitting an entry to this prize draw, entrants agree to follow these Terms and Conditions. Entry instructions form part of these Terms and Conditions.  Entries submitted with incomplete information, or found to contain invalid information, shall be deemed invalid entries and unable to be included in the prize draw selection.

Promotion period:

The prize draw will run from 4pm Monday 14 September until 11.59pm on Sunday 20 September 2020.

Any entries received outside the relevant dates and times above will not be accepted.

Eligibility

No purchase necessary.

Only one entry per person from a genuine user/Instagram account.

FSS employees, close affiliates such as family members, and/or the agencies or companies associated with FSS are not permitted to enter.

FSS reserves the right to not accept entries which are suspected to be paid-for or made in an unorthodox way, such as the use of bots for one person to enter the competition more than one time.

Any entries with inflammatory language or those which are offensive in nature will not be accepted and removed from social media.

Entrants must be16 or over to enter and live in the United Kingdom

How to enter:

To enter, entrants must follow @fsscot on Instagram and submit an answer to the following question in the competition post comments section: Within how many days should leftovers be eaten when stored in the fridge?

Winner selection:

The three winners will be selected through a random draw conducted by an independent person to be held on Monday 21 September (the ‘Draw’).

The winners will be announced on Tuesday 22 September in a comment on the original competition post and have two weeks to claim. Winners can claim by Direct Messaging the Food Standards Scotland Instagram account.

Winners must prove they are a student by sharing an image of their valid student matriculation card via private message on Instagram.

The winners will then be asked to supply their email address to claim the prize. Their email address will be used to send an e-voucher. No personal information will be stored or used for any other purpose.

Prizes shall be delivered as soon as possible.

FSS will use reasonable endeavours to contact the winners using the contact details supplied upon entry, through Instagram. If a winner does not respond within one calendar months of the first notification, then that individual forfeits the right to claim the prize and FSS is free to nominate another winner.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control, FSS reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the prize draw or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

The prize

The following prize is available to be won: one of three £30 vouchers for a UK supermarket (in Scotland).

In the event that the winner’s first choice of supermarket, does not offer vouchers, the winner will be asked to select another supermarket.

Any terms and conditions that are included on the relevant supermarket voucher, will apply.

Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.

Data protection and publicity

This prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.

The competition is being administered solely by Food Standards Scotland.

Entrants should be aware that they’ll be required to provide information to FSS not Instagram.
