Summary

Food Standards Scotland (FSS) has today published a summary of incidents, food product recalls and allergy alerts between January and March 2020.

Over this three month period, 24 incidents were reported and 43 food notices were issued including 25 related to allergens. This publication details the categories of incidents recorded and provides an explanation of food notices issued including the level of risk to consumers and what action we, industry and/or local authorities took.

Local authority and key partner contributions have been vital in delivering effective management of these incidents and FSS would like to place on record our thanks for their ongoing support.
