Co-op recalls Co-op Irresistible Scottish Breaded Ham due to incorrect allergen labelling

Co-op is recalling Co-op Irresistible Scottish Breaded Ham because it contains wheat (gluten) which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Pack size: 120g

‘Use By’ date: 13th April 2017 (detailed on the product as 13 Apr)

No other Co-op products are known to be affected

Risk: Wheat (gluten)

This product contains wheat (gluten) making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Our advice to consumers:

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, do not eat it. Customers who have bought this product should contact Co-op’s Customer Relations Team for a full refund on Freephone 0800-0686-727.

Action taken by the company:

Co-op is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
