Candyco recalls various Monarch Confectionery products because of incorrect allergen labelling

Candyco recalls Monarch Confectionery chocolate satins (boiled sweets) and three flavours of Monarch Confectionery macaroon bars because they contain milk which is not correctly declared on the label. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Product: Monarch Confectionery Chocolate Satins
Pack size: 100g
Best before dates: All dates up to and including 31 October 2019

Product details:
Products: Monarch Confectionery Vanilla, Raspberry and Peppermint macaroon bars.
Pack size: 115g
Best before dates: All dates up to and including 31 March 2019

No other Candyco products are known to be affected

Risk: Milk

The products contain milk making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents

Our advice to consumers:
If you have bought any of the above products and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company: 
Candyco is recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the products. This notice explains to customers why the products are being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product(s). Please see the attached notice.
