Nemos Food Company, Glasgow recalls its sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, rolls, pasta and pakoras

Consumers should be aware that Nemos Food Company, Glasgow has recalled its sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, rolls, pasta and pakoras due to lack of validation of shelf life applied to the products. The McIntyre’s products are packed in individual plastic containers. Products should not be consumed and returned to shop or store where purchased.

Heads of Environmental Health Services need to be aware that Nemos Food Company, 6 Hanson Street, Glasgow G31 2JW has been producing and selling McIntyre’s branded products with an extended shelf life in the absence of shelf life validation contrary to Article 14 of EU/178/2002. There are also concerns regarding the Company’s ability to demonstrate adequate product traceability contrary to Article 18 of EU/178/2002.

Despite investigations by the enforcement authority, we are aware there are businesses supplied with the McIntyre’s branded product from this business that have not been notified and as a result products remain on the market.

FSS have been advised that distribution affects food businesses operating in Scotland only.
