Errington Cheese instigates precautionary recall of Dunsyre Blue Cheese batch E24 as it may contain shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC)
Risk: The products listed below might be contaminated with STEC. Symptoms caused by this organism include diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloody diarrhoea, and haemolytic uremic syndrome, a serious condition that can lead to kidney failure and can be fatal.

Errington Cheese Company has instigated a precautionary recall for the above product. Point-of-sale recall notices are also being displayed. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what actions to take if they have bought the product.
Advice to consumers
This product is mainly supplied to hotels, restaurants, specialist cheese shops and delicatessens. If you have purchased this product with the batch number above or if you have purchased it from delicatessen and do not have batch information, do not eat it. Instead, return it to either Errington Cheese or the store from where it was purchased.
