The latest Food Standard’s Scotland (FSS) Board meeting was held yesterday where the Board discussed a range of items across FSS’s remit.
One of the key projects for 2017 and beyond is the implementation of FSS’s strategic approach to science and evidence led by FSS Chief Scientific Adviser, Professor Norval Strachan. This approach which will be finalised and approved by the Board in the New Year has been created to drive excellence across science, evidence and information gathering. It is one of the first major projects Professor Strachan has led since being appointed FSS Chief Scientific Adviser earlier this year.
The Board also received an interesting presentation on behavioural science from Dr. Julia Allen, University of Aberdeen.
