The members of FSS are informally known as ‘the Board’. They are appointed by Scottish Minsters, through an open, public process.
We are open and transparent. Our Board meets in public, and our policy recommendations and decisions, and the reasons for them, are publicly available.
The Board is supported by about 90 office-based staff working in Aberdeen and approximately 80 operations staff working across Scotland.
