FSS Response to Scotland Food and Drink 2030 Strategy

Geoff Ogle, Chief Executive of Food Standards Scotland said: “Food Standards Scotland welcomes the vision of the 2030 Strategy for Scotland’s Food & Drink Industry and fully supports its focus on responsible growth. The safety and authenticity of our food is central to the integrity of the food industry and is critical in underpinning the world-class reputation of Scotland’s food and drink. Further, we share the ambition to work collaboratively with industry, government and the people of Scotland to support improvements in nutrition in order to help meet the Scottish Dietary Goals and tackle the health and economic consequences of poor diet. We must ensure consumers have access to high quality food and drink products to enable them to make healthier choices and will continue to work with our partners to help achieve this ambition.”
